Post-Op Eating

Important Note:

You can promote faster healing and reduce post-operative complications if you follow the instructions that are given to you at the office. It is normal to experience some temporary discomfort and swelling for the first 2-4 days. Your healing time will also depend on proper oral hygiene to keep the surgery site clean (i.e. rinsing and brushing after every meal). We also suggest drinking plenty of fluids daily during your recovery period. It is very important not to chew directly over the surgery site(s) and to avoid small particles foods such as poppy seeds, nuts, broccoli, strawberries, kiwi, raspberries, sesame seeds, etc until your surgery site heals.
